SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION FAQS
How long do SMP results last?
SMP can last 2–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Periodic touch-ups can keep it fresh.
Does it hurt?
Most clients report mild discomfort, similar to a light scratch. A numbing cream is applied to minimise sensation.
How long does it take to heal?
Initial healing usually takes 4 to 7 days. During this period, you may experience slight redness or dryness on the scalp. Full healing and pigment settling can take up to 30 days, after which the final results become visible.
When should I get a touch-up?
Most clients require a touch-up 30 to 45 days after the final session to perfect the results. After that, maintenance touch-ups are typically recommended every 2 to 3 years to keep the pigment looking fresh.
